eBay promoted us to silver Powerseller status, only to take away the promotion. A few months later eBay promoted us again. I knew eBay would take back the promotion again, sooner or later. Below is my reply to eBay, and eBay said they would respond in 24-48 hours. eBay never replied.

As I said in a previous article, eBay will soon discontinue the eBay Partner Network. Perhaps a favored few will remain as high producers, but the little man and woman will soon lose another source of revenue.

As eBay starts to issue “eBay bucks” I strongly suspect the end of the eBay Partner Network as we know it. Although eBay claims the partner network won a recent award, webmasters – including ours – report that the network is not paying or recording sales.

The handwriting is on the wall. If eBay can stimulate more sales, and instill loyalty with a loyatly program like “eBay Bucks”, will eBay continue to support the eBay partner program? I doubt it.

Many of you know that the eBay partner program is paying much less than eBay paid through Commission Junction. Perhaps it is the economy, but a large part of lower comissions is due to eBay.
