Across from the Christian Church in Warsaw Missouri is the only remaining concrete block home in the city of Warsaw Missouri.
In 2000 we purchased this home to restore and revitalize it. The home had eighteen broken windows, many of which were covered with plywood.
It took almost two years before we could live in the home. To this day nobody in Warsaw is willing to discuss the age of the home, but a kind woman from California saw our project on the Internet and sent us priceless information on the history of the home when she lived there.
When we closed on the home we were told we would receive a history of every owner, but the realtor soon realized that the title company could make at least $375 if the title company provided the information instead. We never spoke to the realtor again.
You may notice that sun room was not part of the home when we purchased the home.
It is featured in another slide show that documents building the deck, followed by building the actual room. Nancy and I did all of the work ourselves.
